    Obituary

    Oliver Lee Taylor was born January 1, 1926 in Eastaboga, AL. to the union of James and Mary Taylor, both parents and two brothers preceded him in death.

    Oliver confessed his hope in Christ at an early age.

    The family moved from Tennessee to Kansas City, MO. in the early 1940's and became members of Park Avenue Baptist Church where he served as Director of B.T.U., a member of the Usher Board and Choir where he was active and faithful until illness no longer allowed him to attend.

    His education was through R. T. Coles, and graduated from Lincoln High School.

    He served in the United States Army in World War II after returning home, he continued his job at Armco Steel, and retiring with over forty years of service without missing a single day of work. He was a member of The United Steel Workers of America Local #13, a job he enjoyed until retirement.

    On July 24th, 2000 Oliver Lee was called home from his earthly existence.

    He leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Dora Lee; two daughters: Jocelyn Taylor, Cynthia (Grady) Poison, of Kansas City, MO; three sons: Minister Ralph (Marsha) Taylor, Calvin (Rose) Hughes, and Christopher Hughes (Debra); one brother: Minister Virgil Brown; two sisters :Willemma Rittenhouse and Wanda Morris; of Anniston, AL; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
