| It didn't bare fruit....lesson learned you better bare fruit or else.....if u have a gift use it or lose it | |
| Jesus cursed the fig tree because it did not fulfill its purpose as a fig tree. It was expected to produce fruit (figs) and it only had leaves on it.. The tree was expected to nourish and fulfill a need.Jesus was hungry and needed to be filled. I believe this will happen with us. Each of us has a gift and a purpose that we are to use and fulfill the need of some one. I do not want him to come back and I am not fulfilling my purpose. This is a spiritual lesson for all of us to learn. | |
| CAUSE WHEN HE CAME TO IT AND IT WAS BEAR , JESUS WAS HUNGRY, AND THEN HE SAID TO THE TREE MAY NO FRUIT EVER COME FROM YOU AGAIN, AND FIG TREE WITHER. (MATTHEW 21ST CHAPTER 18TH VERSE | |

1) Jesus cursed the fig tree because it was not bearing fruit in its season--having many leaves, but no fruit. (Matt. 21:19) 2) Jesus warns of coming judgment upon an unfruitful people. God doesn't want a peopl who are unfruitful. |

| The fig tree was cursed, because it represented the spiritual deadness of Israel and how it appeared to be religious. The lesson that we get from it is we should bear spiritual fruit and not just give an appearance of fruit bearing, because God judges fruitlessness. It is also a lesson in having faith. ( Mark 11, 12- 14). | |

Matt 21:19 In my opinion, Jesus cursed the fig tree because from afar it gave the appearance of being fruitful. Upon further examination it became clear that there was no fruit on it all. God will render judgment on those of us who give an outer appearance of fruitfulness but in fact are not fruitful at all. The outward appearance does not count with God. (John 15:8, 16; Galatians 5:22 -23) |
